De royalisten hebben de rebellen overwonnen, echter gaat Hal door met zijn losbandige leven, gesteund door ridder John Falstaff. Wanneer koning Henry IV ziek wordt en overlijdt, beseft Hal (nu Henry V) dat hij zijn gedrag niet kan handhaven en zich moet aanpassen om een goede vorst te zijn.
