Cecilia Moore (Rosina Lawrence) droomt van een zangcarrière in Hollywood en wordt door dik en dun gesteund door haar verliefde vriend Joe Jenkins (Jack Haley). Joe gaat zelfs in Hollywood werken als kelner om filmproducenten te ontmoeten. Wanneer Cecilia ontdekt dat Joe enkel een ober is, voelt ze zich teleurgesteld en gaat ze mee met beroemde acteur Rinaldo Lopez (Mischa Auer).
