Laurel en Hardy werken als butler en chauffeur voor de rijke, verwende Dan Forrester, die wordt opgeroepen voor militaire dienst. Overtuigd dat Dan hen nodig heeft, gaan ze ook in dienst, ondanks hun ongeschiktheid voor het leger. Wanneer Dan verliefd wordt op fotowinkeleigenaresse Ginger Hammond, denken Laurel en Hardy dat ze enkel uit is op zijn geld en proberen ze de relatie te saboteren. Hun poging mislukt, Dan toont zijn moed en de twee mannen vallen in de handen van de vijand.
